Who are we
Sous Les Étoiles, "Under The Stars", is a family run campsite in the village of St Martin des Besaces, Calvados, offering camping and caravanning. Formerly known as Le Puits.
Perfectly situated for exploring the undulating picturesque countryside, tasting renowned cheeses, sampling sparkling cider and of course, the famous Calvados.
We are the third owners of the campsite but have been lucky enough to had the original owners, Barry & Barbara, come and stay for a few weeks with their knowledge and wisdom.

Our achievements
Since our arrival here at the campsite in December 2018, we have not stopped with the updates and new areas.
New Sanitaire
The first item that was a must was a totally new shower and toilet area.
Bar stripped and re-built
The old bar was very tired and desperate for a rebuild.
Games Room updated
The old red parachute covered room needed a totally new look.
Our Pitches
Choose your best site for your camping vacation.
With four zones to choose from.
Standard grass pitch. Two cyclists or motorbikes with a option for a car. Priced based on one night. Electric hook up available at extra cost.
Pitch numbers A 1 to A 14
Large individual grass pitches, space for small caravans and campervans with optional 6amp electric hook up.
Pitch numbers B 1 to B 8
These large caravan and motorhome grass pitches are large enough for twin axle and long motorhomes still with plenty of space to enjoy, with optional 10amp electric hook up.
Pitch numbers C1 to C24
Premium Grand grass pitch. Big enough for the largest caravan or motorhome. 16amp electric hook up available at extra cost.

At Camping Sous Les Etoiles Normandie we offer storage facilities of your caravan on site, to suit your requirements....

What a fantastic camping place! We were just traveling around Normandy and we were looking for a nice camping place to spend the lasts days of our trip, this was a nice surprise. The place it's beautiful and the camping has been recently renovated, the owners have done a great work with it. The bathrooms are clean and great, the social area it's awesome. The owner is a really nice man who is open to chat and help you out with anything you need, this is highly appreciate it when you go on camping. I hope to come back soon, as this has been our favorite camping place so far, highly recommended...June 2020

Paisible et chaleureux... Nous avons passé une nuit délicieuse en camping car dans cet écrin de verdure paisible gardant toute son authenticité et son charme. Les prioritaires nous ont accueillis très chaleureusement avec leur joli accent anglais et se montrés extrêmement disponibles et attentionnés. Les sanitaires sont d'une propreté irréprochable!
