When is the campsite open?
Camping Sous Les Étoiles Normandie is open from 1st April until Mid September each year.
What time can I arrive and depart?
Check-in is available from 2:00pm. Latest arrival time is 8:00pm. Departure is between 6:00am and 11:00am.
Do I need to book in advance?
We strongly recommend booking in advance, especially during school holidays and the D-Day anniversary period in June. Bookings are only confirmed once payment has been received.
Are twin axle caravans allowed?
Yes. Twin axle caravans are welcome at Camping Sous Les Étoiles Normandie. We recommend booking one of our larger pitches, particularly our Grand Serviced Pitches, which are designed to accommodate larger caravans and vehicles comfortably. If you are unsure which pitch type is best for your outfit, please contact us before booking and we will be happy to advise.
Do you accept ACSI cards?
No, we do not participate in the ACSI discount scheme.
Are dogs allowed?
Yes, well-behaved dogs are welcome on the campsite. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times and owners are responsible for cleaning up after them.
Do you have a swimming pool?
No, we do not have a swimming pool. However, we offer spacious pitches, a games room, pétanque court and plenty of open space to relax and enjoy the countryside.
Do you have electric hook-up?
Yes. Electric hook-up is available as an option on all pitches. The available amperage depends on the pitch type booked.
Can I charge my electric vehicle (EV)?
No. Charging electric vehicles from campsite electrical hook-ups is not permitted. The campsite electrical infrastructure is not designed for EV charging. Public charging points are available in the village.
Do you have Wi-Fi?
Yes, complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout most areas of the campsite.
Do you have a restaurant?
During the main season, our on-site restaurant, Le Cowshed Bar & Grill, serves a range of meals and drinks. Opening dates and times vary throughout the season, so please check current information on arrival.
Do you have facilities for cyclists and walkers?
Yes. We have dedicated Hiker & Cyclist pitches specifically designed for guests arriving on foot or by bicycle.
Can I choose a specific pitch?
You are welcome to request a particular pitch, and we will do our best to accommodate your request. However, specific pitch numbers cannot be guaranteed.
Do you offer caravan storage?
Yes. We offer both 6-month and 12-month caravan storage options in our secure storage area. Please contact us for current pricing and availability.
How far are the D-Day beaches?
The nearest D-Day sites and museums are approximately 35–40km from the campsite, making us an excellent base for exploring Normandy's historic attractions.
How far is the ferry port?
The Port of Caen-Ouistreham is approximately 45–60 minutes away via toll-free motorway, making the campsite a convenient stop before or after your ferry crossing.

We accept major debit and credit cards through our secure online booking system.
